As a prologue, we wrote this review from the original Naruto manga. It is just a short introduction for those who need some clues about Naruto. However, it would be wise if you buy and read the comics as well ^,~
NARUTO PART 1 (Volume 1 - 27, Chapter 001 - 238)
The story started from our home-sweet-home, Konohagakure, where our beloved heroes live. There's a young boy known as the No.1 Original Prankster and his name is Uzumaki Naruto. Naruto finally graduated from Konoha Ninja Academy and has become a genin (low level ninja). He was teamed up with his first love, Haruno Sakura and his worst rival, Uchiha Sasuke. Meanwhile, the acting leader of team 7 was the legendary tutor, Hatake Kakashi. Their first survival mission was a big mistake, but it soon grew into something they could never imagine.
Their journey began when they got their first mission outside of the village. Their mission was to assist a master bridge builder, Tazuna, back to his home village, Namigakure(the Land of Waves). It was supposed to be a c-class mission but things went wrong. A filthy guy in Namigakure hired 2 criminals for his monkey bussiness, they wer Momochi Zabuza, one of the infamous 7 Kiri no Shinobigatana Nanajin Shu, and Haku, a lovely boy from the Snow country. Naruto's mission has grown to an A-class mission.In this mission, they learnt the value of team work.
soon Naruto cs were registered in the chuunin exam. in this exam they met their future worst enemy, Orochimaru, who've been longing for Sasuke as his successor. the fair final bout turned to a mess as Gaara raged out. the exam ended up in a war between Konohagakure and Sunagakure (provoked by Orochimaru). Naruto himself is chasing Gaara to save Sasuke, but the battle becomes something personal as they reached their limit. Gaara lost but he felt like he has a debt to Naruto for changing his false perception.
the unexpected war left a huge loss in both sides but another treat has come to Konoha. two strangers in black cloak, known as AKATSUKI, came to abduct the Kyuubi inside Naruto. surprisingly one of them is the infamous Uchiha Itachi, a man who slaughtered the whole Uchiha clan in one night. above all, he's Sasuke's big brother. however, Itachi was way too strong for Sasuke and this encounter has awakened Sasuke's ill memories which led him to wrong direction. and Orochimaru sees it a chance to take him into his abusive plan.
realizes that Naruto's life is in danger, a perverted sennin, Jiraiya, offered himself to become Naruto's private tutor. thus Naruto spent a long journey with Jiraiya to train an ultimate jutsu called Rasengan. but they also carried out a top secret mission to find and ask another sennin, Tsunade, to become the 5th hokage. it wasn't an easy job because Orochimaru also wanted Tsunade to do a favor for him, of course with a tempting reward. the battle of the legendary sannin was unavoidable but thank god, Tsunade made the right decision.
Sasuke has made up his mind to follow Orochimaru. the newly promoted chuunin, Shikamaru, was assigned by Tsunade to chase Sasuke before he crosses the village border. Shikamaru assembled his mates to assist him and they are Chouji, Neji, Kiba, and Naruto. however, Orochimaru has prepared for the worst, he sent his 5 subordinates i.e. Kimimaro, Tayuya, Sakon, Kidoumaru and Jiroubo. eventhough they eventually won the battle (with Suna trio as a back up) they couldn't bring Sasuke back to Konoha.
in this Part 1 we will witness Naruto's ongoing struggles to get himself acknowledged by everyone who underestimates him. indeed, it's a really long story and there's no better way to know Naruto in person than to read the comics thus we suggest you to read the Part 1 because most important characters are introduced here.
