NARUTO Shippuden (Chapter 245 - ...)
Part 2 started when the 15 year old Naruto returned to Konoha from his training with Jiraiya. Unfortunately, the long-awaited reunion had to be delayed due to unexpected guests, Sasori and Deidara from Akatsuki. They came to Sunagakure in order to abduct Gaara for his one-tailed Shukaku. When Naruto heard about it he came instantly to save Gaara, but it was too late. Gaara had already been defeated by Deidara and taken to Akatsuki Shrine (yes, here!). Somehow the Akatsuki has successfully extracted Shukaku from Gaara which led him to death.
Naruto was still determined to get Gaara back. Thus he, Kakashi, Sakura, and an elder women from Suna, Chiyo-baa, were chasing Sasori and Deidara. Soon after, Gai's team came as a back-up. The infiltration went as planned, but a team of ninja were awaiting them. Gai's team was detained outside the shrine by their own clones, meanwhile Sakura and Chiyo-baa came face to face with Sasori. Deidara was running away while carrying Gaara, and the furious Naruto and Kakashi were chasing him. Eventually after a long fight with some bloodshed (the best kind?), Sakura and Chiyo-baa defeated Sasori and get information about Orochimaru.
Kakashi, with his new mangekyou sharingan, scared Deidara into running away. Deidara was cornered as Sakura, Chiyo-baa and Gai's team physically attacked him. Deidara, with almost no other option, decided to end the hopeless fight by using a suicide-bushin in an attempt to kill everyone (but himself). Thanks to Kakashi's sharingan, though, our beloved heroes were saved from the malignant explosion. Chiyo-baa, though dying, insisted on reviving Gaara; unfortunately, her chakra wasn't enough. Because of this, Naruto voluntarily used his chakra to help her. And, as we all expected, Gaara is revived *sigh*. Chiyo-baa could not survive and died honorably for the future of Sunagakure and Konohagakure.
Naruto returned to Konoha and he could hardly wait to search for his beloved teammate, Sasuke. He started to visit his friends, but on the way a strange guy picked on him in a very irritating fashion. Later on, he figured out the guy's name. He is Sai and he will join team 7, in conjunction with an ANBU member named Yamato. Together, with Sakura, they went to Kusagakure and met with the Akatsuki spy, Kabuto. But, as we all already known, Kabuto has become Orochimaru's underling. Thus, the battle begins as Naruto lost control and released the 4th tail of Kyuubi. Meanwhile, Sai engages in his secret mission by joining forces with Orochimaru.
Sai finally made it to Orochimaru's lair, followed by Naruto, Sakura and Yamato. Before Sai proceeds his secret mission, Yamato discovered his secrety identity and busted him. Sai was interrogated as Yamato desired to discover his true motives. Sai admitted that he was ordered to join forces with Orochimaru, then betray Orochimaru. Yet again, Naruto lightened up his heart and Sai reunited with team 7. After a long wait, Naruto and Sakura met their old team mate, Sasuke. Indeed, the reunion lacked cordiality but did include furious battle. Naruto still insisted to take Sasuke back to Konoha, even by force. Unfortunately Sasuke's strength surpasses theirs and he manages to escape. This time around, Naruto and Sakura have to go home with empty hands.
there is no resting time for Naruto since he needs to train harder to surpass Sasuke. yet the red clouds are heading to Konoha after the Kyuubi, they are a new pair of Akatsuki members, Hidan and Kakuzu. their attempt was halted by Asuma, Shikamaru, Izumo, and Kotetsu. yet Asuma died in his way to protect Konoha. the death of Asuma shocked his pupils, Shikamaru, Ino and Chouji. hence they swore to avenge the death of their beloved tutor by hunting down Hidan and Kakuzu. meanwhile Kakashi volunteer himself to acompany em. the furious battle of Shikamaru's team vs Hidan and Kakuzu has begun!
the team was splitted into 2, Shikamaru decided to face Hidan solely, meanwhile Chouji, Ino and Kakashi are having hard time with Kakuzu since he actually has 5 hearts a.k.a 5 lives. luckly Naruto team led by Yamato comes on the nick of the time. yet instead of fighting with teamwork, Naruto went to defeat Kakuzu himself. here Naruto showed off his new jutsu, Rasen-shuriken, which led him into a flawless victory. however, the destructive power of Rasen-shuriken was like a boomerang, Naruto suffered a serious pain on his right arm.
while Naruto and friends are taking breathe after the furious battle, on Orochimaru's hideout a ragging fight is about to begin. Sasuke finaly shows his true intention by attacking Orochimaru. Sasuke said that he no longer needs Orochimaru who is now weaker than him. Orochimaru went mad and transformed into his true form, a giant white snake. the fight was unavoidable, Orochimaru tried to take over Sasuke's body by taking him into his dimention. once again sharingan is proved to be the most deadly weapon, Sasuke used his sharingan to take over Orochimaru instead. did Orochimaru really die? will he wake up and take over Sasuke's body in the future?
after taking control of Orochimaru's soul, Sasuke started his moves. first he set free Suigetsu, the missing nin from Kirigakure who later took Zabuza's sword. then they picked up Karin from northern hideout, the girl with glasses who secretly teases Sasuke. the next guy to join the team is Juugo from southern hideout. together, the 4-people group is known as "Hebi" a.k.a. Snake and their mission is to hunt down Uchiha Itachi. in order to find Sasuke, Naruto's team decided to search for Itachi as well. who will encounter Itachi first? Sasuke or Naruto?
Konoha sent their best shinobi i.e. Naruto, Sakura, Sai, Yamato, Kakashi, Hinata, Kiba and Shino, backed up by Kakashi's ninken. they were splitted into 6 teams, in this chance Naruto is finally in one team with Hinata *blushes. meanwhile Hebi team work on their own, Sasuke, Karin, Suigetsu, and Juugo are taking different route to find Itachi. on the other side, Akatsuki has taken another step by sending out Deidara and Tobi, luck was on their side when they found Sasuke first. Deidara is looking down on Itachi's lil bro and the battle is unavoidable.
yet an unexpected guy is spying on Naruto's team, Yakushi Kabuto. he gave all information about Akatsuki to Naruto but more than we expect, Kabuto has integrated his body with Orochimaru's soul. Kabuto could be the next Orochimaru instead of Sasuke. On the other side, Deidara takes the toll to defeat Sasuke with his supreme art, self-destruct explosive, which ends his own life. Sasuke who had lost all his chakra was nearly dead but he tricked Manda with sharingan and use it as a shield. Sasuke was barely alive when his team found him and took him away for recovery.
after the death of Deidara, the so-called Akatsuki Leader, later known as Pain and his partner, Konan, the lady with blue hair came out to do their true role, seize Kyuubi. but the biggest surprise is the guy behind Akatsuki all this time was actually... TOBI. however everyone in Akatsuki have thought he was dead in the explosion. Hebi team hide for awhile to wait for Sasuke's recovery, while Naruto team try to track him down by using the super-scent-sense of Kiba. however Karin knew bout it and Hebi team ran away before Leaf-nin arrive.
meanwhile in Konoha, Jiraiya and Tsunade had a talk bout Naruto's secret i.e. his parents. As we expected, Naruto's father was none other than Namikaze Minato a.k.a. Yondaime and his mother was a kunoichi from the former country of whirlpools, Uzumaki Kushina. Jiraiya discovered the whereabouts of Akatsuki leader n went there by himself, yet Pain is aware of it. Konan was the first one who busted him. Jiraiya was surprised to see Konan because she was one of the children of war that he happened to train along with 2 other boys, Yahiko and Nagato.
the battle between student and master is about to happen again. Jiraiya defeated Konan easily but Pain came to take her place. Jiraiya never thought that his pupil will turn into villains, yet he dint know whether Pain is Yahiko or Nagato. the battle becomes more furious as Pain summoned his other 5 copies. Jiraiya even had to use his best jutsu to take him down. unfortunately Pain was too strong, Jiraiya was killed short after he found out the secret behind 6 Pain bodies. in another place, 2 battles were happening; the Konoha-nin vs Tobi and the most waited battle, Sasuke vs Itachi.
